Did someone say "Parade"? Yes! A Parade of Planes, no less! How is that possible? Well, anything aeronautical is possible at this year's Aviation Expo happening October 30 - November 2 at the Palm Springs Convention Center. 
It's not often you can land a plane through the city streets but this next weekend will be a spectacular event! Located at 277 Avenida Caballeros in Palm Springs, the 3-day show will be one of the most unique events in the area. Visitors and locals alike will line the streets along the parade route from East Alejo Rd to North Avenida Caballeros to witness a truly high-flying scene. Everything starts on Thursday and by Sunday, the parade is reversed as pilots taxi back to the Palm Springs international airport.
Aircraft arrive on Wednesday at the airport and the events start on Thursday. Display hours are from Friday to Sunday from 10am - 5pm and on Sunday from 10am until 2pm. The exhibits are extensive from Baja Bush Pilots and Aviation supplies to Ace Maker Air Shows and Airplane auctions. The events are extravigant and the planes never stop coming.
If you're from out of town there are many places to stay not just in Palm Springs but in Palm Desert and surrounding communities. Of course, if you flew in, you may need ground transportation as taxi service is only available for the Parade! LOL
If you get in early you can enjoy our Thursday night VillageFest with one of a kind, handcrafted souveniers, local food and drink, vibrant sounds and music and full on pedestrian street fair. Something not to be missed so if you get in early make sure you check this out.

The Convention Center as well as lots of local accommodations are located less than 2 miles from the airport and there will be shuttles and taxis taking people to and from events. Many of the hotels also have their own shuttles and can drop you off right at your destination.
