HELP - Almost 2 Weeks & Still Confused about Best Use for AR

Services for Real Estate Pros with Home Tips for Women

First I have to say I've found AR to be an excellent way to learn to blog, as starting out in a vacuum (TypePad) didn't provide me with the community like AR offers. To share with you where I think I am:

  • Great network to learn about what is important to realtors, although I've yet to uncover how my subject matter expertise in home maintenance and repairs can help me build strong & lasting relationships
  • Great network to learn an unimaginable list of online marketing ideas from something as simple as creative signatures to exposure to all the different systems people are using to build their individual brand identities
  • Wonderful tool to gain advice and even better, seeing how people are using various social media/technology to build their businesses (of course my attempt to create MyBlogLog profile today is currently a disaster)

In fact I think the most important thing I've learned is how social media is actually enabling us to go back to small (er) communities of interest where we can develop deep and supportive relationships. There's something significant here that I've got a grasp of, while still striving to sort out and reorder my personal communities. For now I share my list and thank in advance those who will offer comments to help me work through this.

  • Love Sell with Soul, and wondering if there is a difference between Spheres of Influence (SOI) and Communities of Influence (COI). Right now I'm thinking SOI is your community of personal connections while COIs are larger communities where the connection is based more on subjects of mutual interest?
  • Still trying to sort out my rather confused identity which includes:
    • Subject matter expertise (home maintenance & repair) from owning My Handyman
    • Developing new marketing services business to help women who are building businesses that operate in my COI, namely helping home owners to Create - Maintain - Enhance their homes
    • Supporting my local women's groups and especially those more broadly focused on helping women succeed as business owners

Hi Tina,

It sounds like you have a very clear understanding of where you stand.  I personally use AR to sort by the area that I am focusing on and make contact with Realtors in that particular area.  You can sort by city, county, or state.

Also, I had a thought.  We should talk about you appearing on our internet based radio show.  It is an national real estate talk show.  You can learn more at http://www.exetergroupradio.com and then let me know if you would be interested in talking about it.

Hope all is well.
