Billed as the world's largest boat show, this year's Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show runs from October 30, 2014 through November 2, 1014; by any measure, this show promises to be spectacular, not only in size (the show will take over 7 marinas & have 6 huge show tents with pavilions & facilities to accomodate an expected 100,000+ attendees) but quality of exhibits, and the boats & yachts available for sale. Produced by local company Show Management (which produces several other boat shows in Florida), the Ft. Lauderdale show will feature 3,000,000 square fee of exhibit space & have $3.0 billion in boats & related gear on display, as reported by the Sun-Sentinel. The show's growth has been fueled by its international appeal, with exhibitors from three dozen countries now participating.
Attendees at this year's show will enjoy lots of activities, including Opening Night Fireworks, Free Kids' Fishing Clinics on Saturday & Sunday, IGFA School of Sportfishing, 1000+ boats & yachts, New Product Launches & CruiserPort seminars & activities.
The show runs from Thursday through Sunday from 10:00am to 7:00pm and Monday from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Buses & water shuttles will operate one hour before & up to one hour after the show closes each day.
Cost to attend on Thursday: Adults $40; Fri-Mon: Adults $24 and kids under 16 $7; children under 6 can attend for free.
