Downtown Tucson is growing and growing ... and it's awesome!! A lot of the development has been on our 'side' of downtown from Congress and 6th east. West has been a little slow but it's definitely coming along. Our newest neighbor is About Me Hair Studio on the corner of Broadway and Stone, on the ground floor of the newest condos - 1 East Broadway.
I'd heard about their soft open but it didn't stick in my brain (which is usual) until I saw the write up that Downtown Tucson.org did and, since a haircut was absolutely necessary before heading to New Orleans and NAR next week, I figured I'd give them a try.
If you look at my picture at the top, you can tell that I have what I lovingly call "Wild n Wooly" hair so finding a stylist that can take that on has been a little bit of a challenge. There's always someone who can 'cut' thick and curly hair but it's rare to find someone who understands HOW to do it right.
I sat with Monica who did an amazing job. Truthfully. Her technique was new to me which 'de-bulked' without creating ugly frizz. I don't look like Rosanna-Dana anymore!!
They are so excited about being in downtown and that enthusiasm is what makes life down here so much fun.
