Tarrant County is the third most populous county in Texas, with a population of 1,911,541. Fort Worth is the county seat for Tarrant County. It’s part of the Dallas – Fort Worth – Arlington Metropolitan Statistical Area in Texas.

Tarrant County’s school system is excellent. Tarrant County has nineteen independent school districts, three charter schools and quite a few private lower-level and higher-level schools. Tarrant County is home to the University of Texas Arlington, Texas Christian University, Eastfield College, Texas Wesleyan University, and Tarrant County College.

Tarrant County College has campuses and centers located throughout Tarrant County. They strive to offer affordable access to quality teaching and learning. Tarrant County College offers adult literacy courses, technical programs, developmental courses, and continuing education services. They have over 70 fields of study open for those who choose to attend their college. From Drama to Physics, there is something for everyone at Tarrant County College.

The weather offers the perfect temperatures in the warmer months for exploring. The winter months are perfect for sitting by the fire with a cup of cocoa. The average rainfall is 34.4 inches.

Tarrant County is full interesting things to see and do. Stockyards Station is located in Fort Worth. This beautiful course is molded around Eagle Mountain Lake. If you’re looking for a challenge, check out the more difficult course at the Golf Club at Champions Circle. Even the course designer had trouble on this course. Lake Arlington Golf Course is owned by the city of Arlington and has been active since 1963. After the challenge of Champions Circle, this easier course will be a breath of fresh air.

Cities in Tarrant County include ArlingtonBedford, Crowley, Fort Worth, Hurst, Lakeside, Richland Hills, and Watauga. There are many communities built around historical homes and commercial buildings. If you prefer a more modern approach to architecture, you’ll find that in Tarrant County, too.
