You see, after her husband passed, my seller decided to move out of the area and gift her lovely home to the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Incredibly, the gift was matched 100% by a generous donation from the Gund family.
Shortly after, a wonderful cash buyer emerged, and we closed on Friday.
To maximize the gift, I accepted only the listing side commission.
Its not everyday you get to be part of raising more than three quarters of a million dollars, for a great cause. I'll be chosen to market many more georgia farms for sale, but the memory of this one will live on.
