Today I introduced another guy in need of a haircut to the Country Clipper in Downtown Chandler. As I sat down on the bench and he sat in the chair with one barber, another barber asked if I am still working in the square and I happily said "yes" and that I had just purchased a commercial building in the square. One thing I enjoy most about Chandler is the people I have met and the relationships I have made and when I walk into places, it is like being with old friends.
Well, the Country Clipper is that way, and it is one of my favorite places to tell people about. It has been in operation since 1912 in the same location and the four guys who cut hair there are the real deal...the kind of quality barber who keeps everyone coming back again and again. Their ability to quickly know the hairstyle personality without needing much direction, their ability to keep a smile on your face with conversation that is genuine, their ability to give a guy a great old-fashioned shave and treat their profession as a craft rather than a job....this is what has made Country Clippers successful year after year for over a century.
After the haircut, this guy I just introduced to the shop told me that he is making this his new regular barber, which is what seems to be the concensus with everyone I introduce to the place.
Now, as a female, if I could only find a great old-fashioned, friendly, genuine salon with hair specialists who treat it as a craft rather than a job. If I were a guy, I would be at the Country Clipper routinely for sure! If you read the reviews on Yelp or other sites, you will see that this is unanimously a fantastic place to go for a great hair cut and shave when you want to feel like you are receiving professional service from guys who actually care.
