A Few Things To Remember Before Moving To The Area

1.   Get copies of your medical records for all family members

2.   Move all prescriptions to a national drug store chain or obtain written prescriptions

3.   Get copies of children's school records (if applicable)

4.   Get copies of children's immunization records (if applicable)

5.   Forward your mail to your new location (fill out change of address form at post office)

6.   If switching banks, update all automatic deposits with new bank account info

7.   File a change of address with the IRS

8.   Create a "basics box" and mark it with big stars so it is easy to find on moving day.  The purpose is to have the essentials at your finger tips so you don't spend valuable unpacking time trying to find things.  Your basics box might include: a roll of toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, basic tools (hammer, screw driver, pliers, box cutter), plastic cups, paper plates, utensils, soap, a dish towel, a bath towel for each person, and a first aid kit.
