To be excited or not to be excited?

Last night my fiance and I had an interesting talk in regard of real estate.  Over the past years I ve been in the real estate arena but only got my license 6 months ago or so.  So Wednesday I received an offer on my listing that my father and I rehabbed and put back on the market.  We countered, they accepted! Woo hoo escrow was opened!  So she was asking me last night why aren't you more excited  I said well in real estate the fun doesn't really begin til escrow opens.  I explained the whole process of BINSR's and appraisals and that nothing is really finished til we get that email from title saying that we've recorded and closed.  She said well what do you mean? Well my love, I've witnessed so many different situations where the deal may fall through or someone breaches the contract etc you get my point.  So yes I am excited, but now the part of the process of why people hire professionals to help prevent these kinds of things happening! I've just learned to temeper my excitement til she closes! She hugged me and said now I know why you need an adult beverage on occasion during escrow period! Happy weekend active rainers!
