This one's a bit interesting- as a guy who shouldn't have been drinking and driving hit and killed a guy who shouldn't have been standing in the middle of the road.

It's also interesting- in that when pedestrians are killed around here, the pedestrian is intoxicated twice as often as the driver involved.

This is a death falling under the watch of Lake County Sheriff Gary Borders.

FHP: Man arrested in DUI crash that killed pedestrian in Lake County

A DeBary man is facing charges after investigators said he was drunk when he struck and killed a pedestrian Saturday night.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Robert Wenrick, 43, was heading eastbound on State Road 46 east of Wekiva River Road, when he hit and killed 20-year-old Conrad Berry.

Troopers said Berry was standing in the eastbound lane and the impact threw him in the median.
