Hot Diggity Dog!
When I first began my ActiveRain journey I didn't know what to expect. I had heard that it was good for posting stuff about your listings. So a year or so ago I joined. It was ok, I read a few articles here and there but like many I drifted away.
Then a few months ago I laughed that my points had been creeping up on the website due to the articles articles I read here and there that dropped in to my mailbox. Interesting, I was around 30,000 points. I also realized, I never really left. I kept coming back. (hence why the points kept creeping up). I realized at that moment that ActiveRain was more than for posting about my community and listings. I kept coming back for the articles my fellow real estate folks posted.
My type A personality kicked in when I realized that not only did I really enjoy reading the articles, I REALLY liked points!! They don't have to mean a thing but I had to have them! I had to be #1 in Maricopa, then in Pinal County, then hit that top 10 in Arizona. I was on a mission.
Ok. So maybe I wasn't that obsessed but I sorta kinda was. I am on the brink of being in the top 5 for my city and top 10 for my county. But my first milestone was to get to 100,000 points! And I log in just now to find that my comments I made while reading blogs waiting for a client on my phone, pushed me over!
Yahooooo! I made goal #1! Now I'm off to get 119,000 to crack the top 5 and top 10 for my city and county. So yes, my fellow bloggers.... I'm here to stay this time!! You just keep me coming back with all your wisdom, knowledge, encouragement, ideas, motivation and yes, sometimes just silliness as we celebrate points that don't buy us anything exept fun and all the things I just mentioned. :-)
