Hostels

By
Real Estate Agent with Frank Rubi Real Estate
I have an appointment with my client to visit an old nuns residence in uptown New Orleans this coming weekend.  His vision is to open a hostel.  I don't really know a whole lot about this particular type of venture.  For instance type of zoning, permits etc.  I would appreciate any imput from the community who might be able to add something.

John, I would highly recommend you work with someone who has experience with hostels or refer it someone who does and take the referral fee. Working in commercial real estate can be a challenge for someone who is experienced. Your company's E&O insurance may not cover transactions by agents who work outside of their normal area of expertise. Also take a look at Article 11 of the NAR Code of Ethics. I hope you take this as constructive criticism. I wouldn't want to see you or any other agents get into trouble.
