Are you confused on the different types of mortgage programs available? Do you really understand definitions of the language that is spoken in this business?  After reading what is posted on the web, I sure am confused. I would expect that any consumer reading the inconsistent informationl out there would be left more unsure of any important decisions than prior to reading other websites.

I have been in the business for over 14 years. From one website to another I see no consistency in the explanations.

Who is telling the truth?   Is it the Realtor that has been crowned a Loan Originator /Loan Officer a week ago or is it the Attorney that does Real Estate as another source of income. I can go on and on... 

How do you know, who is telling you the truth? Most people don't. A clients meets with a person, likes their personality and signs every unexplained  piece of paper laid in front of them. Than, at the closing, where your pretty much stuck to sign all those confusing papers, and unsure of receiving what you thought was explained to you at the beginning.

At the beginning of your application within three days you should receive a simple to read Brochure called, Buying Your Home - Settlement Costs and Helpful Information. This brochure is a requirement by the Federal Goverment for anyone applying for a Mortgage Loan( U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT OFFICE OF HOUSING- FEDERAL HOUSING COMMISSION).       

First page and first line in the Brochure reads- Congratulations! You have decided to buy a new home.
