6 Comments on The Mansions at TPC Take Luxury Apartment Living to a New Level in San Antonio
Do not be fooled by what you read about the Mansions. Nothing listed, the spa, the coffee bar, the gym, NOTHING, works. "We are working on it" is the joke among residents here. They deliberately mislead, some might call that lying, about everything when you are looking around. It is made to sound as if things will be up and running any day now, when, in fact, there are people that have been here for 6 months that have been hearing that. You will not run into one person who will have kind words to say about this place. The apartments themselves are beautiful and spacious, but you can get that other places, cheaper, that actually have the ammenities that are promoted and promised. In fact, I just learned that when the tanning bed is up and running (they're working on that!), they are actually going to charge us for it. Of course, that isnt' mentioned when they are giving you the tour. The gym and pool are only opened during business hours (they are working on that, too) so there is no convenience. I was in the office the other day to fill out yet another work order form, a full week after the first one,(they only have one maintenance man, but they're working on that) and I heard one of the office girls out and out lying to a prosepective client, telling them that they would lose the deal if they didn't sign a lease that weekend. It is the same deal I got three weeks earlier and I heard them offer someone else a week later.
Conclusion? Go get your money's worth somewhere else. The ladies who are so nice and helpful when you meet them? They are lying to you, and you will never, ever see them again once you move in. This is the worst mistake I have ever made.
I couldn't agree more with apartment dweller. Don't walk, RUN away from this place. Nothing is as it seems and once you move in, they couldn't care less about you. Do not believe the hype about it. It SUCKS.
I would have to strongly disagree with the others negative comments. I have been living at the Mansions for a few months now & it is great. The Gym is accssible 24 hpurs a day for residents & it is great being able to use the FREE tanning during their business hours...which they are open at 8 am & until 7 pm.
I have not had any major service requests. I did email one in for them to come & replace my ac filter...and they did promptly.
I love how quiet it is in my apartment...I never hear any of my neighbors.
The girls in the office are always nice & they always seem to be throwing some sort of get together for the residents...Although, it is kinda hard (after my morning workout) not to grab some of the free tacos on Saturday mornings!
Anyway, the locaton of this community is fantastic & the ammenities and interior features are supreme to any other complex tat I saw in this area...so it's worth it.
I may be moving to San Antonio and this Mansions at TPC looks really cool, but I read so many negative things about it. What's the latest status there ?? Does anyone know ??
Tom...
When I originally posted this blog back in April of 2008, The Mansions at TPC had only been opened for a short period of time. As a Broker & Apartment Locator, I wanted to provide informaton about this community and all that it would offer. I was familiar with the area of San Antonio where it is located and excited about its additon to the area.
Since then, I have actually become a resident at the Mansions. My wife and I are currently building a McMillin home in The Cliffs at Cibolo, just around the corner. We moved in this past September and I have to say that we love it. We have not experienced any major problems and we thuroughly enjoy the 24 fitness center, the free tanning and the starbuck's coffee. We also have access to the water-park amenity center in Cibolo Canyons, but have yet to try it out...I am sure we will when spring gets here.
If you have any additonal questions or concerns about this or any other apartment community in San Antonio, I would love to assist.
So...Where might you be moving from?
