Snowy Day In Columbus Ohio

little girl in snow It's official! We have the day off due to the snow. Here in Lewis Center, (a suburb north of Columbus) we are under a level 3 snow alert. So what to do on a snowy day when you can't even leave the neighborhood?? Play in the snow of course. But that's after the shoveling. little girl shoveling snow

Hopefully we will soon be able to dig out and head to the pond for ice skating. Of course the neighborhood will have to clear it off as well. Luckily several neighbors will snow plows get the job done pretty quickly.

What a good little helper. Another 36 hours of shoveling and she will get it all cleared off.

Your daughter is so adorable Melissa and Rich - the pond skating freaks me out....unless you send Rich out there first to test it out.

We actually send the 200 lb neighbor out on his snowplow to check it. If he gets the pond clear without going through the ice, it is deemed safe. How is the weather down there in Miami??

I never get mad. Well, sometimes I do, but i understand it doesn't accomplish anything...

I was just kidding about the flowers. Didn't really think you were mad. And I'm graphically challenged as well, that's why you got 4 flowers. I started to do one and ended up with 4. Can't wait for spring. It was 70 yesterday and now we have snow. =( Maybe we should move to Florida.

It's beautiful in Ohio!! I must admit I was taken aback by the snow. I realize you posted this a while back. If that's your daughter she's really cute.

Tracy, Thank you. Ohio is very pretty in the winter and we are lucky to have a pond in the neighborhood which makes for those Rockwell moments.

102 days left to Christmas shop!

This reminds me, I need to pull out the snow blower and fire it up to make sure it is up and running for when I need it.
