We all heard the phrase, "stinking thinking" What are your thinking? These thoughts can trigger negative or positive emotions. You must first identify the problem thinking and what is right thinking.
You can develop a plan for Right Thinking.
- Have a written definition of your desired right thinking.
- What are your ways to measure progress?
- Keep a daily record of your progress.
- Have an accountable person in your life.
- What are you reading - keep a log - make sure they're self-help or motivational materials.
- Associate with Right Thinking people.
They way you think about yourself, will determine how you react and interact with others. Your thinking will also cause your attitude to be good or bad, which then will turn into your actions. We all know that what goes in, must come out.
A quote from Paul Meier - "Attitudes are nothing more than habits of thought, and habits can be acquired. An action repeated becomes an attitude realized."
To change your attitude you must first change your mind. Say the right words, read the right books, listen to the right CD's, tapes, etc., be with the right people and do the right things. The most important to me is to Pray the Right prayer! We speak and we become! There's power in the tongue. You can bring life or death into every situation. So be careful what you speak and what you speak is determined on what you're thinking!
