I recently attended an event for Zillow Premier Agents. A premier agent is one who gets special placement on Zillow, harnessing the power of the worlds number 1 real estate site to help sell your home faster.
A common theme among my clients is their Zillow value. When we speak on the phone, I often hear they think they know based on Zillow how much their home is worth. {While Zillow can give a baseline or ball park, nothing can take the place of a manual market analysis done by someone who knows the area}.
Many times the values on Zillow are off because you have not claimed your home. What does that mean? When you click on your home address, there will be a button that says correct home facts next to the bottom right corner of the Zillow logo. Most folks have not corrected their homes information so there Zestimate will for sure be off.
The advantages of updating your home will be reaped when you try to sell your home and the value is close to the listed price. Buyers definitely look at the Zestimate when placing offers.
