It includes the unincorporated communities of Basking Ridge, Liberty Corner, Lyons and the hamlet of West Millington (each one with its own Zip Code). The area's convenient location facilitates access to key destinations like New York, Philadelphia, Trenton and The Jersey Shore. Interstates I 78 and I 287 are located nearby, there is bus services through Lakeland buses to New York City and NJ Transit offers train service to both Hoboken and Manhattan. Bernards Township offers 2 train stations, one is Basking Ridge, the other one in Lyons.
Bernards Township School District offers 4 elementary schools (Grades PK-5), 1 middle school (Grades 6 to 8) and students in grades 9-12 attend the highly ranked Ridge High School.
Since the 1980’s Basking Ridge has seen tremendous growth.
