Beautiful Sunrise in Alaska by Robert Vegas Bob Swetz
 
Here are several photographs taken from Vegas Bob's iPhone this morning following some great Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) captured 5 hours before this.
 
 

 

When these photographs were taken it approx. 180 degrees of the shy was colored, not like only where the sun is rising.

Love those beautiful colors! We were fortunate one night a few years ago to catch the Northern Lights from our home in North Idaho. Had it not been that my son needed to go out and get something from his pickup, we'd have missed it, since most of our windows face south.
