Thanksgiving is just over a week away. This is the time of year that we stop and give thanks for all the blessings that we have been given. It may be hard to believe, but many children go without toys at Christmas time. Even more families go hungry. The Lake Havasu Toy Drive and Car Show 2014 wants to change this this year but they need your help to do that.

Everyone in the Lake Havasu community is invited to the Lake Havasu Toy Drive and Car Show 2014 this Saturday from 9am to 12:30pm. The Havasu Classics Car Club is partnering up with the Interagency Council to combine the fun of a classic car show with the joy of helping others. Guests are asked to bring in new, unwrapped toys valued at $10 or more as well as non-perishable foods items. Frozen turkeys are also welcome. Non-perishable food items include canned food, soup, powdered milk, potato flakes, gravy in a jar or packet, biscuit mix, powdered pudding or Jell-O mix, etc.

Come out and enjoy seeing some classic cars up close and personal, visit with their owners and drop off a new, unwrapped toy and/or non-perishable food.
