Atlanta Inspector has a problem with these boots.

David Lelak an Atlanta Home Inspector goes the extra mile to walk the roofs of every house when possible. Some things are just not visible from the ground or with binoculars. But I think in this instance this would have been caught. I just love some of the things that I find on homes, especially when Mr. Fix-It (aka homeowner) did the repair job himself. Now don't get me wrong, not all home owners are bad at repairs but some just should not take on repairs. Even I learned my lesson and now know without a shadow of a doubt that I am NOT a plumber, and don't want to be.

So right the inspector need to get close to his work to see the flaws. Thanks for the post.

Wow, that is why I always ask for receipts from a professional that the work has been completed!

Jeremy, I had to learn the hard way on the plumbing issue, but if my father in law could have been around to help out, there wouldn't have been problems. He is a jack of all trades, and yet a master of none and just supervised the building of his own log home. Beautiful place, and pasted every inspection with flying colors.
