Mason's The Beach Waterpark Opens Beach Mountain November 21 2014
When we say BEACH you probably think about:
And frankly with this morning's temperature in the teens it's the type beach I'd like to be at, far away from the chilling wind and the few inches of snow on the ground!
However, our current weather is perfect for The Beach Waterpark's newest attraction BEACH MOUNTAIN!
Now why would you want to go to an outdoor waterpark during the cold months? SNOW TUBING! The new ownership of The Beach Waterpark decided to build a 40 foot high, 10 lane wide, 400 foot long snow tubing attraction and this Friday November 21st is the grand opening (and buzz from early visitors with sneak peeks is that you're going to have a LOT of fun!).
They've planned well and have a separate section for the kids under 6 years old or under 42" high. Kids have to be over 3 to participate. And because snow tubing isn't without some risk of injury, you and all participants do have so sign a release waiver (which is available online if you visit BEACH MOUNTAIN'S website. And parents MUST be with their kids when they're tubing. This isn't a drop them off and pick them up later kind of deal.
Snow tubing is sold for a two hour interval, but you can buy more time if you like, $6 per extra hour if bought in advance or $10 if purchased after your session expires. Capacity is limited to about 150 tubers at a time, so planning in advance is key. Purchase online for best rates!
Price for tickets vary according to whether you're on the big hill or the kid's hill. Initial two hour increments range from $17 to $25 and vary by whether weekday or weekend.
Beach Mountain plans to be open through March 1st. And of course, they'll have concessions, hot chocolate and more! Parking is included with your ticket price.
