Does Facebook Help Your Listings Sell?

The other day when I did my post on gameplans for 2015 (What's your #1 Marketing Idea) a lot of folks mentioned using Facebook. For the most part it centered around gaining new clients and reaching out.

I'm curious, for those of you already using Facebook as part of your marketing stategy, do you also post your listings on there? We can post using our FlexMLS to a page we manage. I'm just curious if anyone has had much success doing this or is it really just to let folks know you are doing business?

What are the thoughts on this????

UPDATE: FYI. I discovered this great article and post by Bob Stewart that had a great webinar on how to do this. I think I'm going to give it a try ---> Generating Seller Leads Using Facebook Advertising

I don't think you are suppose to post listings to your wall, in a commercial manner, to your personal wall.  Some do, but, I would hate to get kicked off some day.  I am way tooo addicted to FB. But, the paid sponsored ads for a particular listing seems to work quite well, since you can customize the audience.

Tammy, I haven't really done any real estate marketing on Facebook. I know the rules have changed, and like Catherine said, I don't think you are supposed to post listings on your wall?

I don't have any listings but I think having a name and face present can help as long as it's not overdone. You can lose some friends that way!  :)

I use to post them on my FB business page, but it didn't do anything for me or help them sell.

It is against FB rules to post your listings on your personal page.  Once in a while I will say something about an awesome kitchen and show pictures of it, but do not post listings on my personal page, just our business page.

I have a business page set up. This way I never mix business with pleasure. I'd rather leave my personal one for the fun and motivational stuff I tend to do

Hi Tammy, I would not put any listing on your fb personal page, but a few newsworthy ones on your fb business page are good.

I do get good seo and many leads from my fb business pages, so it is definitely worth posting your blogs here for that extra backlink and the people who will find it on fb.
