Christmas Tree

Tomorrow, Thursday November 20th, 2014 is the big night for the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony!  At 6:00 p.m. the program will begin and the tree will be lit by Anna King who is a heart transplant recipient at 7:00 p.m.  Each year a deserving child is chosen to have the honor of lighting the tree.

Enjoy carriage rides around Market Street, visit the many stores there that will be offering goodies and other treats.  Music, holiday entertainers and more will be adding to the festive atmosphere.  This is a yearly event that you really do not want to miss!

Insider tips:

*Get there early!  The place fills up quickly!

*Park at the Mall and walk over.  It will make getting out of there at the end of the evening a lot easier.

*Be prepared for all kinds of weather.  Our south Texas weather can change in an instant.

*Make reservations at your favorite Market Street restaurant.  They fill up quickly.

Enjoy the kick-off of the Christmas season at Market Street.  This event is so wonderful and the giant tree being officially lit is a sight to behold!  Your family will want to make this a yearly tradition.

Merry Christmas and enjoy the show!

Having lived in Houston for a few years and then moving to NW Arkansas like here the weather can change on a dime.  Good advice.
