Well, I post about almost everything else, so why stop now.

I ran 4.5 miles this morning on the treadmill.  I ran it in 33:05.  Felt pretty good.

Followed by some sort of ab workout on the machine.

I am starting to get in pretty good shape.  I weighed 202 this morning.  That seems to fluctuate greatly depending on my "activities" the night before.

I would like to get to 195 by August 7, my fortieth birthday.

I have a private goal (how private is it when I am putting it in a post).  I would like to have six pack abs by then too?

Do any of you have goals?  I like to tell people mine.  I think it adds to the accountability.

Anyway, things are going well.

Now, lunch, "The Young and the Restless", and then back to work!:)

yes, you do blog about everything... Well, I never was a runner. I like swimming, tennis and horse riding. I think if you can run such a distance - you are in a great shape, do not go to crazy about loosing weight.

Hi Irina.  Thanks for reading.  I don't focus too much on the weight.  It is easier to track, however.

Ken,

Good for you. I think telling others about your goals is a great way to hold yourself accountable. I am confident who can get to where you wannt to be by your 40th b-day. Good luck.

I agree with Patrice, The Young and the Restless?  say .  I think there should be a soap or as they call them today as story about realestate agents.  What would be a good title?

Life in the poorhouse?  Will work for food?

I do think this business attracts characters.  It would make a good sitcom.

First, 4.5 in 33:05 is not bad for a geezer like yourself.  Of course you've always been really freakin talented at running.  Second, six pack abs is totally do-able.  The core strength training is annoying as heck, but I know you can handle it.  Bridges, side bridges, bicycle, frogs (different ab stuff) 10-20 minutes a day, a few months, a few pounds lighter, and you - my old, old friend - will have six pack abs that the ladies your wife will die for.  None of that machine ab workout stuff, though - you need some good ole free weights some of those workout balance balls and some pain tolerance.

Hilarious.  I have been joined by an old friend.  Thanks for reading Brett.  Have you been running?

Great job on the running! You are doing great and wonderful.

Yeah, I was running a ton (60-80 per week) up until five years ago --- had grown a big enough bone spur on the back of one of my achilles that I had to have it detached, sawed off, and screwed back on.  Now I can only handle a modest amount of mileage (maybe 30) and cross train a bunch.  Have gotten into strength training a lot.  Way stronger which has helped me...umm... at basically nothing.

Glad to hear you're getting back into running.  You'll be able to kick my butt again after a few weeks of training I'm sure.

And to those reading this blog - BUY A HOUSE FROM THIS MAN.  Or let him SELL YOUR HOUSE.

Hi Ken,

Good job on the running...Kinda kicks me in the fanny to get a more balanced routine going too!  (I will be 50 in July so I had better kick it into gear!)

But Soap Operas???  At least watch a sports channel or something!!  :)

Ken -- good job!  When do you plan to have the 6 pack abs?

04/06/2008 10:15 PM by Aziz Abdur-Raoof,Howard Co. Real Estate Scoop (RE/MAX Rewards)

Great 4 u Ken. Young & The Restless?  All they do is have sex on daytime tv. Speaking of, what do you mean when you say, "activity from the night before?" I hope you get the rock hard abs you seek. Just don't be like that nerd on  late nite tv commercials who rubs body oil all over them with his wife beater on saying.....Yeah, you like it...call today.

Hi Aziz and Greg.  I am not too focused on 6 pack abs.  I am enjoying feeling better.  My birthday is Aug 7 and I will be 40.  I am really enjoying working out.

Thanks for reading.

And yes, soaps are crap.  I still can get pulled in!
