I was asked recently why do you stay in real estate? I smiled and said, there's no better fit for me out there. I love what I do and here's why. Everyday you learn something new. Its a new experience/adventure. From research, continuing education classes to being out in the field with hands on experience everyday is a different day and scenario. You never know what will be asked or what will result from the phone call you are receiving. Whats waiting for you in your email box, your active rain comments or who you will meet or maybe who will pass your name on to someone they know.
In real estate we have systems to keep our businesses running. Our systems are constantly being tweaked to stay in tune with what is going on in the world. As agents we know that no deal is a guaranteed. The scenarios for what "could" happen are endless. The minute you think you've heard it all, boom something else happens. Real estate is a business that is constantly changing. Its not just the industry that is constantly changing its people and their situations.
Always be ready, always be learning and always be active in your business. You never know when a new deal may pop up. If I am bored, its my fault. If I do not have enough to do, its my fault. I am in control of a lot of things. It is up to me to continue to learn, grow in my knowledge and experience and of course expand my business. I love what I do. I love the continuing growth potential and I love helping people. It really is a fabulous feeling when you've helped someone achieve a goal.
Its been a journey and a great one that I'm ready to keep moving forward with. I started in real esatate almost 11 years ago! WOW
