What is Red Nose Day? Could it be a gathering for all the people who have a cold? Could it be Rudolph's birthday? Well, no. Who else has a red nose? Well, Ronald McDonald does and clowns. What's so great about clowns? Dressing up in costume with their little red nose and face paint brings joy to many children. The Baton Rouge Red Nose Day is a day dedicated to making children laugh. So, put on your little red nose and go support our children.
Baton Rouge's Red Nose Day will hosts it's 6th Annual Red Nose Day on Friday, May 9th of 2008. This is an fundraising event to raise funds to support the services that McCains Children's Developmental Center provides. It's a day for fun and laughter. Over 100 companies and schools participated by buying t-shirts, teddy bears, red noses, and neckties last year. They raised over $38,000. Do you want to be a sponsor at Red Nose Day? Sponsorships are available for levels of $1000, $2,500 and $5000. If you are a sponsor your logo will be printed on all the items such as: teddy bears, t-shirts, neckties and banners.
Things will be done a little different this year. There will be a special Red Nose Day celebration downtown at the Life at Five event. It will be held at Galvez Plaza on North Blvd. I really encourage you to be at this event. There will be special raffle ticket prizes for those who in their RND shirts. Come to Baton Rouge's Red Nose Day!
