The Road Not Taken…..
Every week I pick 10 posts that I think that could use a second look, a little more exposure, or that are so good that I want all my friends to have a chance to experience it.
This week is no exception and it has been a challenge to narrow the list down to 10, I hope that you enjoy these along with a few more that you may find on the author's blog site.
Take a few minutes to click on the title of this post, this will take you to the original blog post where the author would be excited to hear your thoughts on their post.
Perhaps it is my age or maybe just the cold I have been fighting, but I have been thinking about the direction that brought me to where I am now. Like so many of us, I trained for a career that was different than the one I practiced. While I absolutely believe that all experience prepares us for what we do, it is also true that roads not taken may have lead us to a very different life.
But for bad timing, I might have wound up in Chicago teaching. I don't dwell on what might have been, but every once in awhile when I meet someone whose life is in Chicago, I do think about it. There were certainly other crossroads, some better, some not, but the road not taken will remain a mystery and that's OK because like the future it isn't as important as today which is all I have now.
