Pumpkin Pecan Pie - A Thanksgiving Treat

There is a special recipe I enjoy making this time of year.  It celebrates the harvest with pumpkins and pecans. 
 

Pumpkin Pecan Pie

Directions: 

 

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Hand beat eggs well. Add corn syrup, sugar, butter, pumpkin and vanilla until well-blended. Arrange pecans in bottom of pie shell. Slowly pour egg mixture over them. Bake for 1 hour or until knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean. Let cool completely before serving to allow the filling to set up.

Top with whipped cream.

The wife likes pumpkin pie as so do I.  Never had it with pecans but everything is better when you add pecans.

Myrl, I remember the days when I baked for a family get together. I'd search for hours looking for my favorite recipes. Now here we are, all older than before and just like magic, a good recipe pops up on the Internet, just like yours!

Sally K. & David L. Hanson - I like this recipe, because I love pumpkin and I like pecans.  However regular pecan pie is too rich for my taste.  This recipe is a nice balance.

Roger D. Mucci - Not a desert eater - You are a rare breed. 

Terri Poehler - It is an easy recipe.  Not complicated at all. 

James Dray - The addition of the pecans makes it a little different too. 

Tammy Lankford - I just counted pies.  There are 3 pumpkin, 2 apple, 1 apple cherry.  But, somehow I didn't make a pumpkin pecan pie this year.
