The ACC Board of Directors endorsed Desert Foothills Land Trust (DLFT) trail monitoring and maintenance activities on the Anthem portion of the Maricopa Trail, also referred to as the Equestrian Trail, at their August meeting. Additionally, the Board endorsed a joint partnership with the DFLT to host a Trail Cleanup Day on Dec. 6, beginning at 7:30 a.m. on part of the Anthem Equestrian Trail.
This is an opportunity for local preservation groups such as DFLT and the Save Daisy Mountain committee to educate and introduce area residents to the local trail system, ecosystem and trail etiquette. It also empowers residents to “give back” and improve the condition of the trail.
