The Prince Frederick Festival of Trees 2014 continues Calvert Hospice's annual fundraising tradition of family-friendly fun and decorated trees Nov 28-30.

Thanksgiving is just two days away.  For many people in the Prince Frederick community, this will be a wonderful time spent with loved ones feasting on roasted turkey and giving thanks for the many blessings we have received throughout the previous year.  Some people will be busy beating back the crowds at the stores on Black Friday.  Maybe your time would be better spent helping the Calvert Hospice raise money for the care of terminally ill patients.  Visit the Prince Frederick Festival of Trees 2014 instead.

Prince Frederick Festival of Trees 2014 is just the latest in what has become an annual fundraising tradition for Calvert Hospice.  This Thanksgiving weekend, visit the St John Vianney Family Life Center for some family-friendly entertainment, a beautiful poinsettia display and, of course, beautifully decorated trees sponsored by local organizations, businesses and individuals.  Visit Santa's workshop as his elves get busy trying to make their Christmas deadline.  Watch as members of the Prince Frederick community compete in the gingerbread house competition.  Marvel at the fine craftsmanship of the model train displays.  Get cracking on your Christmas gift list by visiting the many craft vendors on-site.

Volunteers for the Prince Frederick Festival of Trees 2014 are always welcome.  You might be surprised at how much effort it takes to put together an event of this magnitude.  If you are interested in volunteering this year, it is not too late.  Simply contact Anne Stavely with Calvert Hospice by phone at (410) 535-0892 x4003 or via email.  The festival begins this Friday and continues through Sunday evening.  Contact her today to see how you can help out.  At the very least, please come visit the festival with your loved ones.  Happy holidays, everyone!
