North Conway NH Real Estate News

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Presidential

I know you are all anxiously awaiting spring and probably tired of hearing more "snow" stories from us up north here, but I had to pass this one along. On a recent snowmobile trip from Bethel (just 1 hour from North Conway) to Kingfield I enjoyed some beautiful scenery compliments of the Bigelow Range and Falstaff Lake.

But I was really impressed when introduced to Olympia SnowWoman - a masterful undertaking by the Bethel Chamber of Commerce. She stands 122' tall and weighs in at 13,000,000 pounds of snow!

SOME STATS ABOUT OLYMPIA SNOW WOMAN

wreaths for eyes
skis for eyelashes
spruce trees for arms
tires for lips and buttons
and rope hair!

Kind regards, Jim

How neat! 122 feet tall-wow! Did they use a crane to build it?

Monika, use the link I provided and check out the snow woman weblog. The photos really show the perspective of the size and how the task was engineered.
