It is a diverse and historic community that is really a town made up of 13 distinct villages, each with their own schools and small town centers. The homes run all the way down from Ultra size and luxury to somewhat affordable. Newton is constantly on the lists of Best Towns in the US. Newton schools also rank right up there with the top schools in the state on a consistent basis. Now to the numbers. 276 properties are seen on the market in the last 30 days. Houses that were built to be affordable as recently as the 1980's are being torn down and new construction is built in it's place. There is some concern that the town is becoming unaffordable for many and while this is no doubt true the incredible diversity within this town is significant.

As is always the case when you don't price your house correctly for the market you will sit for a long time without any offers. If you are not getting any traffic and no offers you need to consider your price as one of the determing factors. This has been the Newton, MA SF Housing Report Nov 2014
