Buying and selling a home during the winter and the holiday season in particular brings distinct advantages. There is less competition and both the buyers and sellers are highly motivated. Interest rates tend to be favorable during the lull due to the season, this is beneficial for both parties. There is more time for people buying and relocating to see homes. Homes show well during the festive time of year. People seem to be less pressured and more relaxed buying and selling a home during the holiday season. Loan approval process can be quicker and easier due to the slow down in transactions. Both parties benefit by saving time and being in their new homes with less pressure and are able to enjoy the process.

 

 

There are currently only 534 active listings in the Santa Clarita Valley. Valencia has 157 active listings but only 10 of them are detached homes built in 2000 or newer. Stevenson Ranch offers a total of 27 active listings. Buyers went on hiatus from June through October but they are once again out in droves.
