It really is the most wonderful time of the year. Especially when the Chesapeake Beach community is lit up with thousands of twinkling lights. You can see these sparklers for yourself when you drive through the Chesapeake Beach 2014 Holiday Lights displays at dusk every night.

Chesapeake Beach 2014 Holiday Lights are too beautiful to be stuck to one small area. Instead, take a drive through the entire town to see how everyone has chosen to display their holiday spirit. There are dozens of hand wrapped trees as well as beautifully animated displays set up throughout town. You definitely won't want to miss the special crab pot tree displayed at Town Hall on Route 261. The entire town lights up at dusk every evening between now and January 4th for your viewing pleasure.
If you happen to live in the Chesapeake Beach community and love to dress up your home for the holidays, you may want to consider entering the Brightest Beacon on the Bay Contest. Every resident and business is invited to decorate their home, property, boat or townhome in their very best Christmas gear. Between now and December 12th, contestants can register via email or by calling Town Hall at (410) 257-2230. Judging will officially take place after dusk on December 15th. So make sure everything is in good working order at that time. Prizes will be awarded for 1st through 3rd place of different categories, including the grand prize. Winners will be announced and prizes will be handed out at a special Town Hall ceremony on Thursday, December 18th at 7pm.
Are you entertaining out-of-town guests? Take them on a driving tour of the Chesapeake Beach 2014 Holiday Lights. Anyone who loves to decorate the exterior of their home for the holidays and lives in town should also consider entering the Brightest Beacon on the Bay Contest, too. You never know. Your home may be proclaimed to be the "Brightest Beacon on the Bay" this year!
