Just Heard That California Is

Ahead Of Normal Rainfall

Okay, statistically this makes sense because we are getting rain early in the rainy season. Rain has been falling with some pretty large cells dumping rain heavily across California. We are currently at 111% of normal to date. This is great news for this drought stricken state.

There is a new concern from all this rain. Remember all those fires that we had on the west coast? Those large scars are now subject to mud slides because of the rain. This can be a problem in populated areas as well as mountainous roadways.

Tom, I hope we continue to get rain but not all at once.  Roads are flooding in my area already.  No mud slides allowed!

We have had a lot of local flooding because of the leaves Kathleen Daniels , but that wildfire up the hill may be a problem.

You have been busy, good to hear from you!  :)

Good morning Tom. Yes, you got the rainfall but too bad it's all coming down at one time. Instead of soaking into the ground, it's running into the ocean and causing mudslides.

Ahh!  The good news/bad news of the weather in California.

I may be naive but some caution must be taken when deciding where to build, or buy.

Folks who believe that they can defy Mother Nature will, sooner or later, be thwarted.

That's good news that the area is ahead of rainfall amounts for the year, but let it come slowly to build the reservoirs a little

Good news on the replenishment of the aquifers standpoint, hopefully mudslides will not cause much damage this time around.
