Book Review - Social Boom by Jeffrey Gitomer - I have been a long tome follower of Jeffrey Gitomer and have read most of his 16 or is it now 17 books. Jeffrey is a sales trainer and coach who 
writes as if he were speaking directly to you. He throws grammar and political correctness out the window and gives it to you straight, and I have found it is actually much easier to read and follow along and "get" the message he is delivering because of his unique style.
I read "Social Boom" a few months back and recently pulled it back off of the shelf because I know that in order to compete in this world you need a very powerful social presence, and Jeffrey guides you through every step of the way with this great book. This quick read book was written just three short years ago, and due to the ever-changing world of social media some of the ideas may be a little outdated, however the meat that is in here is well worth the price to set yourself up for success.
Gitomer digs into the top social media outlets,(at least at the time of print) Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Youtube and then as he says, "the glue that holds it all together is blog, blog, blog"! So for any Activerain newbie or agent struggling to figure out how to put together a complete package for your social media presence I highly recommend you grab a copy of this book. I have been receiving a copy of his weekly "Sales Caffeine" newsletter for over 10 years now and have read every one of them.
I think this is a must have book for every serious real estate agent or any busienss owner or sales professional who believes in the power of social media and Blogging, I am giving "Social Boom How to Master Business Social Media" by Jeffrey Gitomer a $$$$$ rating based on my following rating system-
I rate books with a $-$$$$$ rating based on how valuable the book is to my business and how valuable I feel it is to the audience.
- $$$$$ means that the book is a must have for any library and a good book to refer to anytime you need sound advice
- $$$$- means that the book is very good and worth reading
- $$$- means there may be a few nuggets of information, and if you can’t find something else to do go ahead and read this book
- $$- do not waste your time
- $- I am sorry I wasted my time and be thankful you saw this book review before wasting yours
