Okay...so I'm working on being Internet connected so that I can blog anytime, anywhere!

Three weeks ago I went to my local Verizon Store and announced to the first salesperson I saw, Tony, that I wanted a new phone with Internet capability and unlimited hours.  After asking me questions trying to determine what kind of phone would be the best one for me, Tony showed me some Blackberry's.

The Blackberry Pearl (in pink!) beckoned and that's the one I picked.

Tony set me up with it, and when he reached for my old dependable LG "flippy" phone...I said "umm, I'm not ready to totally commit to my new phone yet".  I need to keep my old phone until I figured out the new "Pearly" one.

It wasn't until a few days later on Monday, that I had time to "play" with my new pink Pearl and I realized that I was having trouble keying in on the keyboard (not full qwerty) and that was going to be a problem.

My New Samsung i760 Phone!Returning to Verizon, I explained my difficultly to Tony with the Pearl phone.  We talked further to determine what would work best for me.  I needed a full qwerty keyboard, so that I can easily post comments or even write a blog post without my laptop.  Enter the Samsung i760 with a slide out keyboard.  Very cool!  I walked out of the store with my new phone...and my old LG "flippy" phone still not ready to give it up!

Well, it's been almost two weeks, and except for sitting down twice to try and figure it out, I find that I need some help.  When I get some time I will call and get some help over the phone...that would be making the call on my old LG "flippy" phone!

Hi Deborah,

If you bought the Samsung I760, it should have come with a CD that will show you all of the wonderful features about your new phone. If it didn't ask them to give you one as they are really great and you will see the phones are easy to use.

Hi Charles, thanks you are right, it does have a CD.

I did upload the the CD when I first got the phone, but it does not seem to have any instructions on it except a 190 pages (as I recall) of instruction, but the pages are to small to read.  I was expecting a tutorial demonstrating the features so I could follow along, but it does not seem to have it, although my desk top is having some issues, so may be that is the problem.  I am planning on looking up info online and calling for help setting up (whatever needs setting up) and accessing my email and blogs.  The length of time it's taken is my problem....I just haven't had enough time to learn it... but I will!

New technology always scares me too.  It takes me days to get the courage to do it.  I had the issue with videos.  Now I love it.

I have the Treo 750 myself.  It runs Windows Mobile - syncs my email, calendar, tasks, and contacts with outlooks continuously.  Best of all, in my area it works as a lockbox key as well.

Hi Chip, all good things have a price...and technology's is the time it takes me to learn!

Hi Russ, yes...sometimes I want to "poke it with a stick" to make sure I won't get bit!

Hi Matthew, I know a lot of agents who use it too, and I have heard their horror stories of having a problem with  their Treo, and NOT having Suprakey ability to access homes until their Treo is working.  Although it would be really nice to have one less item to have to lug around and keep track of!
