This month marks the 175th anniversary for the City of Austin. Boy, how the city has changed!

Although the official date is December 27th, today there were many celebrations and educational opportunities to learn more about the history of our great city. One of the things I love best about Austin metro is the richness of history. The Austin History Center opened a special exhibit today, 175 from Cabins To Skyscapers. I didn't make it down today to enjoy but am looking forward to taking my family over the holiday break. The exhibit showcases the Capitals history, via photography. How exciting to see a timeline of the growth. It runs through March 22, 2015 and is free! More details at their site Austin 175: From Cabins To Skyscapers.
