Everyone loves a parade!! Be part of the 1.0 million spectators along the 12 mile route watching the 43rd annual Winterfest Boat Parade on Saturday December 13, 2014. This Holiday event is an extravanganza; decorated & glittering boats of all sizes & types become floats that parade from downtown Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., East on the New River & North on the Intracoastal Waterway, to Lake Santa Barbara in Pompano Beach. Watch the parade from reserved & assigned seats in the Grandstand Viewing Area inside Hugh Taylor Birch State Park at the Northeast corner of Sunrise Blvd & the Intracoastal Waterway, opened from 3:30-9:30pm or along other designated areas on the route.
The Winterfest Parade is brought to Ft. Lauderdale each year by Winterfest, Inc., a non-profit organization, volunteers, supporters & corporate sponsors. The parade has been named as the top 20th parade in the world by the International Festival & Events Association, placing it amongst other lauded parades such as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day, Rose Bowl & Mardi Gras Parades. The economic impact on Broward County, Fl. is estimated at over $48.0 million.
