Staging Becoming Steeped in History

My partner and I just received a job to work with the Charleston Library Society for a paint consultation and we are so excited to add this to our portfolio.  The Library society is the third oldest library in the United States. It has an amazing history and has held a high position of importance since it was established in 1748.

We feel we have to be very careful as this is not just creating a new look ~ we have to take into consideration the history and the feel of the building and at the same time think 'refresh'.   This will be a fun challenge!

Tracy ~ How exciting!  And different!  I think Cindy Bryant is also doing something with her library.  If you can, please share pictures.

What a great opportunity.  Isn't it amazing how your staging expertise can lead in so many directions?  The possibilities are endless.  Congrats and I know you guys will do an awesome job.

Tracy, that has got to be a wonderfully fun job for ya'll. (See, I can write Southern.) Thanks for including the link too. Updates? right?

Tracy, that is awesome.  If you are doing a historic building then you should use "historic" paint.  Check out "milk paint", formulated from original paint recipes, and of course environmentally friendly and non-toxic.

Kathy ~ We are really excited about this job as the building is so unique.  I will certainly share pictures and maybe Cindy will, also.

Lynn~Thank You!  We do really feel like new doors open everyday with staging in our area.  I know ya'll are experiencing the positive results, also.

Yvonne ~Your Southern is perfect dahling!  I will definitely provide updates with pictures. Thank you!

Terry ~We will carry our Historic Charleston color chips with us and reach for those first.   I have never heard of milk paint - I will do a google search and learn more.  Thank you!!!

Cindy ~ Keep us posted on how your library job turns out!  We are working on our design boards now and have completed the scheme for the private member lounge and now will try to figure out the upstairs lounge and 2 offices.  We hope to add more jobs like this to our portfolio.  Good Luck to you!!
