Cost of Owning A Home

When you are shopping for a new home, besides mortgage, it is important to include property tax, association fee and yearly maintenance cost into the total cost of owning a home.

For every $100,000 loan, factor approximately $1000 for mortgage, property tax and/or association fee. Depending on the age and condition of the house, additional maintenance cost should also be considered.
