The Big 50 and National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day

Fifty years ago this evening, I wasn’t as comfortable as I was tonight.  I had managed to give birth to my son, Randy.  However, it was a brief labor, only lasting about an hour and a half or so. 

 

Today, Randy had to share his Big 50 with National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day.  But, somehow, when family met at El Tapatio to celebrate, it became obvious I was on the only one who had appropriately dressed for that.

 

For those living in the Greater Sacramento region, El Tapatio has wonderful and authentic Mexican food, coupled with a great restaurant ambiance.  They are located at 5637 Sunrise Boulevard, Citrus Heights, CA 95610

There is a whole industry on the ugly sweater that one of the guys from Shark Tank got involved with.  They are doing a stellar job and are profitable.  I would not call your sweater ugly, I would call it Christmas appropriate.  The restaurant sounds great, and Happy Birthday to Randy and you!  Ron used to call his mother on his birthday and wish her a happy day, and thanked her for bringing him in to this world...A

Your son does not look 50 and you don't look old enough to be his mom!  The whole ugly sweater thing is quite popular this year.....we are wearing them Christmas Eve at my daughter's house.  I'm going to make mine.

 I agree with Ron & Alexandra Seigel I love the sweater and I have many Christmas sweaters and I do not think they are ugly...Ditto to what others have said I do not think your son looks 50 or you look old enough to have a son that old!
