Would You Re-Install These Ugly Counters

Just To Save A few Dollars?

Homeowners are sometimes stuck with a decision between putting back the existing pieces or paying a little extra to upgrade to something better. Though it may cost a little more and not be covered under the insurance claim, it will never be any cheaper than now.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

And what if that color is no longer available?

But beauty is more than skin deep...

Good morning Tom. The simple answer is not, doesn't match the floor for sure. The time for a change would be now.

Make it a great weekend!

You're so right, Tom.  It costs the same to install a new one or old one, so you might as well upgrade since the labor is covered by insurance.

Tom, in a word, NO!  But I wouldn't have put them in the first time around.

Depends on whether you wish to smile or frown each time you look at the counter top.

Good morning Tom,

Personally it is a yes here but the better half is always looking at the greenback part.

Make yourself a great day.

Good morning Tom. It won't ever be less costly so doing the upgrade is a no brainer. Too bad your people don't get it. Enjoy the day.

Tom, I can live with the old ugly counters when remodeling if they do proper upgrades to the electrical and plumbing. But in most cases where people save money is always a bit puzzling.

I am of the opinion that it is the perfect time to upgrade, especially since most of the labor is already being done and it won't cost much more than one is already spending.

Um, well, yeah, I think these counters look mighty old to me. They look like they have seen better days, and don't think I would want them back in my house.

Tom, If there was any way to afford an upgrade I would absolutely upgrade to something nicer. I just don't understand why you think the counter tops are ugly.

Tom, no. Some people would and they probably spend lavishly on others stuff they do not need . It's is not a good decision.

If only they would do the right thing it would help so much down the road when they want/need to sell.

It's in the "eye of the beholder"  I personally would save until I could afford exactly what I want even if it cost a bit more...

Sometimes labor is more intensive trying to save the old than just installing something new.

Re-installs is like eating leftovers..
