This Afternoon those of us in the picture above had the pleasure of having an ActiveRain MeetUp With Scott Hayes In East Greewich, RI at the Bistro 9 Restaurant. Ginny Gorman was the hostest, and in the tradition of all great ActiveRain hostesses she did a fantastic job organizing the MeetUp.
It was a pleasure to meet Scott for the first time. Scott is an ActiveRain Member in Austin, Texas, and left the warm confines of Austin to visit his In-Laws in chilly East Greenwich, RI. For me this was a special MeetUp because I not only got to meet Scott for the first time, but also Praful Thakkar, Christine Smith, and Kyle Reyes.
ActiveRain was well represented with ActiveRain Members from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Even though this was the first time many of us were meeting each other face to face, it was like we were all old friends. The food was great, but it was the friendships and fellowship that made this a very special MeetUp. Everyone had a good time and even Santa Ed behaved himself.
We may have Kyle Reyes hooked on the MeetUps, because he has agreed to Co-Host an ActiveRain MeetUp with me on Thursday, January 22, 2015. Stay tune for more details on this MeetUp.
