Nothing says the tropics like a beautiful fruit layden coconut tree. I remember my first time seeing one on an Easter break to Florida as a 9 year old. It was an amazing site, where were the leaves, can you eat those things, can I climb it ,can I, can I? My poor parents, they probably headed right to the Tiki Bar!
This grand specimen is amongst my mini grove of 12 in my backyard, they still amaze me so many decades later. Oh, and BTW I still like to climb them on occassion.
