Good morning Mark. I don't do too much with Twitter. It's because I do not understand its value in real estate. I'm saying this because I will be working on my website next week and will be doing a major overhaul. I need to check into the value of Twitter.

Good morning Michael Thornton.  I too was a skeptic about Twitter and was late to adopt the social media platform.  After being active for three months on it, without reservation would recommend it to you for your business.  While it will take some time for the social engagement to bear fruit in terms of new clients, I have already learned a great deal following other real estate agents/Brokers and personalities on twitter.  Being able to see and learn from what other engaged professionals do on twitter and the information they share is worth the time investment.  The gravy (I love gravy) is the added views to your content and love from Google (they love social platforms like I love gravy)you get on your tweets with links back to your website.  I would HIGHLY recommend it if only for the first reason alone.  Best of luck.

Good tip, Mark.  Twitter is a gem mine for those who know how to use it.

Fred Griffin, Semper Fi! My main platform has been YouTube, but I am finding  Twitter to be worth the time investment. Thanks for your comment.

I love Twitter but need to get a wordpress blog. How about a blog on how to make great videos like you do!! And how you get them on YouTube. It takes forever to get them on YouTube with iMovie.

Hi Joni Staples, I could do that and plan to do it! I used Imovie to do my videos and just recently upgraded my video editing platform to Final Cut Pro X.  Word press blogs are among the easiest ways to blog and are very search engine friendly.  Thanks for your comment.

Mark,

where is the link to your word press blog? I'd love to see it.

The one that in this post does not work.

Mark,

what do you prefer more: Word press blogging or Active Rain?

Hi Inna Ivchenko, I check the link it should be working, it takes a little bit to load because I have sooooo many videos on the page.  To your question which do I prefer... I would do both! I would put links in Active Rain posts back to your word-press blog.  AR has a high citation flow and trust flow (Google doesn't update Page Rank anymore) and the back links to your word press blog would be highly relevant (same topic-Real Estate).  Sometimes your able to rank for keywords with an AR post where it might not rank with your own blog.  Hope this helps.

I haven't been using Twitter, I really don't get it.  My AR blog posts go there automatically, but that's all I tweet. I'm bookmarking this for future reference, thank you!
