A resourceful spirit. Many go out to forage for the day, while some stay back on sentry duty and then there are the day care providers who tend to the youngster's. Everyone knows their place within the community.

The ability to follow guidelines. Meerkats must adhere to community rules and protocol. Those who blatantly disregard the order of the colony are banished and must look elsewhere for their livelihood. They are not allowed back.
Plus...
A sincere work ethic. Excellent job skills provide everything they need to thrive and their goals are realized daily as a means of survival. And by the way, the Meerkat colony leader happens to be a fearless female. Pretty cool I think!
