Yes I think all of these dogs were from the Caliente racetrack at one time or another. From what I understand, most of the Greyhounds in California were racing dogs.

Here are a couple of pics sent to me by the Adoption Center of our new pet. We're going to call her Kizzie after the character in the miniseries Roots. After my daughter saw the series for the first time, she wanted to name a male dog Toby and a female Kizzie. I asked her why and she said, "we're giving her her freedom". I agreed. So here she is. She'll be with us on Sunday.

We're told she'll be 4 in June and weighs 67lbs. Sounds great to us!
