it's great information to pass along to newbies as it is
somewhat confusing at first. I'm definitely going to re
blog this and post it to the newbie group.

What's in a name? What is a blog? What is a post? Are the two terms interchangeable. NO! Although many people use them like they are.
The word blog sounds like something a caveman would say while standing over his fire waiting for a meal. Sorry I don't mean any offense to cavemen worldwide, and I hope this doesn't start a caveman blogging campaign where they come out from hiding in their caves to protest. You know like they did over that whole car insurance issue. But there's really not much to the word, and to me it's not particularly pleasant sounding. I have gotten use to it, though, and now I rarely give it a second thought.
So what is a blog? It's pretty simple. A blog is an online journal or diary. A blog can be whatever the creator wants it to be. In my case...I have a real estate blog where I focus on local living and the real estate market in my area.
A post is a piece of that blog. It's one entry into the blog...like an entry into a journal or diary. The journal is the whole thing, the entry is one piece of the journal. Think of a magazine. You have the complete magazine and then you have an article in that magazine. A post is like the article in that magazine.
Blog and post...there is a difference.
This is dedicated to all of my friends that don't have a blog. Now you know what I'm talking about.
